Just a quickie for today:
Last week when I was in Tampa, Florida for Fanboy Expo, I asked how high the Hilton Downtown could put me up as I checked in. "We can put you up on the 15th floor," said the young lady at the front desk. "Perfect! Give me a room with a good view," I replied, anticipating taking some great pictures of Tampa's legendary clouds and sunsets.
As soon as I got to my room, I eagerly power-walked to the opposite side of the room where the windows were, and pulled the drapes apart as if I were a kid on Christmas day.
All I got was a parking ramp right in front of my face.
And you could tell there was some kick-ass scenery/colors right behind it!! >:( I was frustrated, and I suppose I could have gone back down to ask for a different room, but I was too tired from all the flying to be a diva about it. After a few moments I was over it, and no longer cared....well, all that much, anyway.
Anyway, better luck next year! Although I did get some pretty neat night time shots around town. To be continued....
These photos shot on the Panasonic GH4 and 12-35mm/2.8 lens, handheld. ISO 2500 or thereabouts.
