"Metropolis" Music Video by Owl City

I'm sure a lot of you hip people have heard of Owl City by now.  You know, the "Fireflies" and "Good Time" (with Carly Ray Jepsen) guy!  Anyway, Owl City just debuted its latest music video called "Metropolis."   Why should you care?   Well because I did some work on it!  Not too much, but enough to brag about.  And the music video is comic book-themed--which there's a good chance you're into as well, if you are even on my site.

Long story short, earlier this year my pal Doug Mahnke (DC Comics artist extraordinaire) was contacted to do some comic book-style spot illustrations for this music video.  He drew them in black and white, and seeing as he needed some help with finishing the art with simple coloring, he asked me if I could help out.  Of course I said yes.  I could use another feather in my cap television-wise (again, the bragging rights thing).  Below is the music video, in case you haven't seen it with--with the artwork creatively inserted within:

Pretty cool, huh?  Do you know what's cooler?  Here are much better quality pics of all the pieces we worked on--you saw it here in this good of a quality first:

So there you have it.  I was quite pleasntly surprised when my friend Clydene posted about the video on Twitter, as Doug and I didn't know when exactly it was going to hit.  As of this writing, the YouTube video has about 725,000 hits and growing...sweet, I'll take it!  And congrats to Owl City!
