NSFW!! My First Japanese (Nude) Model

Whenever I travel to a different city for my convention appearances, I try to make a point to book a sexy model shoot (because it's fun) to maximize productivity of my time while there.  Last month in Tampa, Florida was no exception.  I was scheduled to sign and work at the city's first Fanboy Expo show, and accordingly I put up a casting call in the area in advance to see what local talent I could use to add to my nudes portfolio.

Of all the models who responded, a college girl named Yume caught my attention; plus, I've never shot with a Japanese model before--a bonus!  :)

Here is a small portion of the 2-hour shoot at the fabulous Hilton.  This series (other than the last photo) was shot in the bathroom, where I had Yume act like she's putting on make-up and doing other girly things.

The lighting used was just the bathroom light!  When I first checked out the room, I instantly noticed the lighting in the bathroom was basically the outer frame of the large mirror.  I thought, this is just like a large ring light!, and it definitely gave off the effect of fairly shadowless portraiture.  This is the result of the light coming from 4 angles (above, below, left, right), and really does "erase" any extreme skin textures.  It's beautiful light, really.  Here are some selects from that series:

Here are a couple outtakes where you can see my reflection in the mirror lol:

And here's a photo from the same shoot that is obviously not part of the bathroom series.  There's more frontal nudity here, but hey, if you got this far, then I'm sure you won't mind:

Special thanks to Joey for being my lighting assistant!
