Sleeping With Cigarette

Canon 7D, 24-70/2.8 L lens.  1/8 second at ISO 3200.

I'm typically not a "one photo per blog" type of guy, but I figure that it's better to post something rather than just wait until I have enough photos for an entry.

During my first trip to Vietnam back in March of 2012, I took a boat load of photos (back then with my Canon stuff, when I owned it), naturally.  There was always one photo I took while walking the downtown night streets with my friend Steve that I always wished was sharper/less grainy, but I kept coming back to it because I liked the overall image/story.

As Steve and I navigated through the busy night life, I quickly took the above picture while walking.

Sleeping outdoors in Vietnam is not uncommon, whether one is homeless or not (in fact, I have more than a few photos of this act to make another whole blog entry).  But this photo is cool to me because this guy still has the burning cigarette in his hand.
