Before/After: Brightest Day Pencils to Inks

One thing that I know most aspiring comic book artists (especially inkers) like to see is the process of the page before the work gets printed.  From the vault, I dug up a before/after version of page 18 from DC's Brightest Day #15.  Pat Gleason did the pencils, and I inked them.  Here are the scans:

Brightest Day #15, page 18.  Pencils: Pat Gleason.  Inks: Tom Nguyen.

Pat's pencils are pretty straightforward here.  Not much else to say here, other than this was a pretty simple page done mostly with a brush (other than the obvious ruled straight lines and other minor things).  His flowy, organic style is really suited to brushwork.  I guess that's why Mick Gray is doing such a bang up job on Batman & Robin.

I'll be posting more of these as I come across them.
